Ex-Intelligence Officials Release Report on America’s Authoritarian Drift — Trump Orders DOJ to “Arrest Whoever Signed That Thing”
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Former intelligence officials issued a sweeping new report Thursday warning that America is “on a trajectory toward authoritarian rule,” prompting President Trump to order the Justice Department to “arrest whoever signed that thing, immediately.”
The 47-page assessment—compiled by more than 300 former CIA, NSA, and State Department officers—concluded with “high confidence” that the U.S. is experiencing “accelerating democratic erosion.”
President Trump dismissed the report as “a Deep State tantrum,” telling the press that “real intelligence says I’m doing fantastic.” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt later claimed the report was “unverified, un-American, and possibly AI-generated.”
The report’s release coincided with a wave of resignations from high-ranking military leaders, including a Marine colonel who cited “concern for the Constitution” and an admiral who clashed with Pete Hegseth over “new combat priorities” in the Caribbean.
At press time, the Justice Department confirmed it had “opened an investigation into all the people who thought this report was a good idea.”
