Musk Launches Million Dollar Sweepstakes Just Days Before Election, Says “It’s Like Powerball, But For Voting”
MADISON — Just days before a pivotal Wisconsin Supreme Court election, billionaire Elon Musk has unveiled a new civic initiative: handing out million-dollar prizes to voters who sign a vaguely anti-judge petition.
“This isn’t a bribe,” Musk clarified on X. “It’s just a really cool sweepstakes that happens to coincide with an election that could impact lawsuits involving me. Totally unrelated!”
The winner of Wednesday’s $1 million jackpot was reportedly a Green Bay resident who clicked “I Agree” without reading the terms and conditions. A second $1 million prize is expected to be awarded soon, with Musk teasing additional giveaways “if judicial outcomes continue trending in the right direction.”
Critics say the lottery is a thinly veiled attempt to influence the court’s ideological makeup with raw cash. Musk’s PAC has already spent over $17 million backing Republican candidate Brad Schimel, with added bonuses for voters who “reject activist judges” and possibly common sense.
“It’s like Powerball,” Musk said. “Except instead of winning money for picking numbers, you win for picking the correct ideology.”
At press time, state officials confirmed that technically nothing Musk did was illegal—just “deeply, historically gross.”
