Ed Martin Claims Biden Pardons “Need Scrutiny” — Forgets Trump Pardoned Every White-Collar Criminal in America

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Newly appointed pardon attorney Ed Martin Jr. vowed Tuesday to “closely scrutinize” President Biden’s final-day pardons, apparently suffering total amnesia about the thousands of pardons Donald Trump handed out to January 6 rioters and white-collar fraudsters already this year.

“These Biden pardons must be examined carefully,” Martin told reporters, standing in front of a mountain of signed Trump pardons labeled ‘Favors for Friends.’

Biden’s pardons, which included family members and officials like Anthony Fauci and Mark Milley, were preemptive measures against likely political retaliation. Trump’s pardons, by comparison, wiped out convictions for violent insurrectionists and forgave over a billion dollars in restitution owed by white-collar criminals.

“We want pardons to matter and be used correctly,” Martin said, without irony, while standing next to a ceremonial plaque honoring Trump’s 2025 ‘Pardon-Palooza.’

Legal experts noted there is no mechanism to “undo” a presidential pardon, though Martin insisted scrutiny was necessary “to preserve the sanctity of the process”—a process Trump has spent the year treating as a loyalty rewards program.

Asked to clarify what “scrutiny” meant, Martin paused before admitting, “Mostly yelling about it on Fox.”
