ICE Agents Reportedly Confused After Being Greeted with Vegan Muffins and ‘We Hear You’ Signs

LOS ANGELES — ICE agents arriving at a protest site in downtown L.A. were reportedly “caught off guard” Sunday morning after being met not with hostility, but with hand-made vegan muffins and protest signs reading ‘We Hear You.’

“We rolled up expecting rocks or at least some yelling,” said one agent, who asked not to be named. “Instead, someone walked up calmly, offered me a muffin, and asked if I felt seen. I honestly didn’t know what to do.”

According to witnesses, the group of activists—wearing calm smiles and holding signs with messages like ‘You’re More Than Your Badge’ and ‘Healing Is Mutual’—had set up what they called a “compassion checkpoint” near the perimeter of the protest.

The organizers claim the move was intentional. “We just wanted to interrupt the energy,” said group spokesperson Sky, who described the group’s tactic as “disarming through softness.” “You can’t round people up efficiently if your heart’s a little melted.”

While most agents declined the offerings, one was seen eating a muffin in silence behind the ICE vehicle before reportedly muttering, “This is… actually pretty good.”

No arrests were made at the scene. Protesters claim the agents “just kind of stood there awkwardly for ten minutes and left.”
