Marines Deployed to LA, Unsure if They’re Being Sent to a Movie Set
LOS ANGELES — In a development that has left even the Marines scratching their heads, troops deployed to Los Angeles reportedly spent the first few hours questioning whether they had actually been sent to a Hollywood production rather than a real-life military operation.
“We got orders to deploy to LA, but when we arrived, all we saw were palm trees, skateboarders, and a suspiciously large number of food trucks,” said Sergeant Jake Thompson.
Sources reveal that several Marines tried to contact command for clarification, only to be told to “stand by and enjoy the scenery.” Some even joked they were extras in the world’s most expensive dystopian blockbuster.
Local residents were equally baffled by the military presence, with one onlooker commenting, “I thought they were filming the next Fast & Furious, but the actors seem way too serious.”
Political analysts suggest that the deployment may be less about restoring order and more about creating “a sense of cinematic urgency.”
Meanwhile, the Marines themselves reportedly held a meeting to debate if their real mission was “to protect the city” or “just to look really cool in these uniforms.”
