Chrisley Knows Best — About Tax Evasion: Trump Grants Pardon to Reality TV Fraudsters

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump added two more names to his ever-expanding “Who’s Who of Criminals I Like” Tuesday, granting full pardons to reality TV personalities Todd and Julie Chrisley—best known for turning bank fraud and tax evasion into careers.

The couple, stars of Chrisley Knows Best, were convicted in 2022 for swindling banks out of $36 million, dodging half a million in taxes, and somehow convincing America to watch eight seasons of their show.

Trump, who reportedly learned about the Chrisleys while scrolling through cable reruns of himself, called the convictions “a total disgrace” and said, “Frankly, tax evasion is very smart—I’ve done it many times. Many people say I’m the best at it.”

In the Oval Office call to the couple’s children, Trump praised the Chrisleys for their “incredible work” and hinted at a possible spinoff: Chrisley Knows Loopholes. “They’re very talented criminals,” Trump added. “You can’t teach that kind of charisma.”

White House aides confirmed the pardons will be official by Wednesday, noting that “America’s justice system works best when it works for rich celebrities.”
