Elon Musk Forms New Political Party to Fight Government He Personally Purchased

BRIDGEWATER — In a bold move to oppose the very system he spent $250 million helping elect, Elon Musk announced the formation of the “America Party” this weekend, declaring, “It’s time to take our country back.”

“When I donated all that money, I assumed I’d be consulted on the legislation,” Musk posted on X, while liking posts calling the federal budget a psyop. “Instead they passed a five trillion dollar sugar high for career bureaucrats.”

Sources close to the SpaceX CEO say Musk expected more “ROI from his MAGA investment,” including increased defense contracts, lower regulatory scrutiny, and “at least one space-related cabinet position.”

“Turns out buying the government doesn’t mean you own it,” Musk added. “And that’s why I’m launching the America Party—to restore democracy to billionaires like me.”

Initial paperwork for the new party has been filed under several different names, including “X America,” “CryptoPledge,” and “GovSux.” Most were traced back to a Protonmail address and a shared PO box in Austin.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who clashed frequently with Musk while overseeing DOGE, responded dryly: “We wish him the best of luck in defeating the beast he created. And also in not tanking Tesla another 20%.”

Musk ended his announcement with a cryptic promise: “The America Party will fix what I accidentally broke. Starting now.”
