MAGA Common Folk Fear Trump Is Drifting Toward Wealthy Elites; Weed Dispensary Dude Says “They’re Finally Seeing Reality, Man”
PHOENIX — After nearly a decade of Donald Trump broadcasting his governing priorities from lavish banquets, luxury boxes, and gold-plated rooms, a growing number of MAGA common folk are suddenly worried the president might be getting “a little too cozy” with the wealthy elite.
“I dunno, something just feels off,” said Ronnie Deal, a 44-year-old HVAC technician who claimed he had “never noticed” Trump’s billionaire orbit until this week. Ronnie said the realization hit him while watching a Fox News segment broadcast from Mar-a-Lago’s ballroom. “I saw the chandeliers, the gold curtains, the tuxedos… and I got this weird feeling like, maybe he’s not doing all this for people like me who shop at Dollar General. That’s when it clicked.”
Asked how long he’d been mulling this over, Ronnie said, “Since about Tuesday.”
At a downtown dispensary, local Weed Dispensary Dude offered his take while weighing out an eighth for a customer. “Bro, it’s like when my cousin realized pro wrestling wasn’t real,” he said. “Everyone else kinda knew. He just needed that one moment.”
Despite the unease, most supporters insist this is merely a “rough patch,” and fully expect Trump to refocus on the working class as soon as he’s done hosting whatever gala he’s at right now.
