Trump Says He’s “Not Joking” About Third Term, Vows to Keep Running Until America Collapses or He Does
PALM BEACH — Donald Trump confirmed Sunday that he is “absolutely not joking” about serving a third presidential term—and possibly more—despite the glaring inconvenience of the 22nd Amendment.
“I have people—very smart people—telling me I deserve a fourth term,” Trump said during a call-in to NBC News, referring to his ongoing delusion that he secretly won the 2020 election. “Some say fifth. You lose track when you’re winning so much.”
Pressed about legal restrictions, Trump remained confident. “There are ways,” he said. “Incredible ways. Very strong ways. I just can’t say what they are—that would ruin the surprise.”
Critics warned the comments represent a dangerous escalation in Trump’s open disdain for democratic norms, but supporters remained unfazed. “He’s not breaking the law,” said one rally-goer. “He’s bending it… patriotically.”
In his closing comments to NBC, Trump tripled down: “I don’t see any reason to stop running. I’ll keep going until the country collapses, or maybe I do. Whichever comes first.”
At press time, Trump’s team was reportedly testing slogans for 2028, including ‘Trump 2028: Who’s Gonna Stop Me?’ and ‘Make Term Limits Optional Again.’
