Trump Wants Troops In Chicago Next, Promises National PTSD by 2026

CHICAGO — President Donald Trump said Friday that Chicago will be the next stop on his U.S. martial law tour, pledging that by 2026 “every sanctuary city will know the joy of constant military patrols and the taste of tear gas in the morning.”

After deploying troops to Washington, D.C., Trump said he intends to bring the same model to New York, Portland, and “all the other filthy places where Democrats live.”

The move comes despite Chicago reporting steep drops in shootings and homicides this year. Local leaders warned the crackdown would only create chaos. “People here want housing, jobs, and education—not tanks parked outside their corner store,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson.

Residents expressed shock at Trump’s claim they were “screaming” for him to intervene. “We were screaming about rent, groceries, and public transit,” one Chicagoan clarified, “not begging for martial law.”

“We’re going to liberate Chicago from being Chicago,” Trump declared. “And PTSD will make sure they never forget who saved them.”
